PREPARAZIONE ESAME
ESAME CITOLOGICO CERVICO VAGINALE (PAP TEST)
- Il Pap Test non andrebbe eseguito durante il ciclo mestruale e nei giorni immediatamente successivi, perchè la presenza di sangue potrebbe rendere difficoltosa l’analisi al microscopio; è consigliabile quindi che il prelievo venga fatto attorno alla metà del ciclo.
- Per questo esame non occorre alcuna preparazione particolare, mentre è bene astenersi dai rapporti sessuali nelle 24 ore che precedono il Test ed evitare lavande interne o impiegare creme, ovuli o candelette vaginali nelle 24-48 ore precedenti.
- Non è richiesto il digiuno e non è necessario sospendere eventuali terapie assunte per via orale o iniettiva.
- Segnalare sempre l’età e la data di inizio dell’ultima mestruazione
